Here are just a few of the things that I have discovered as a wellness researcher that were shocking to me and that are very contrary to both popular beliefs and current medical wisdom. It is my hope that I can help you or someone you love by shining a light on these issues:
-
High cholesterol is not the problem and statins are not the only solution. Cholesterol is good for you when it comes from healthy fats. Bad cholesterol is not caused by eating foods high in cholesterol. It is caused by eating too much sugar, which oxidizes the LDL cholesterol. It can also be caused by having undiagnosed thyroid problems.
-
Glyphosate and GMOs are fattening us, sickening us, and aging us, and are a major contributor when it comes to the drastic downward turn in the health of Americans. They are either outlawed in most other industrial nations or at least labeled. Yet, they are in, or on, almost every processed and/or non-organic (conventional) food in the U.S. Laws in the US today still do not mandate labeling.

Thyroid disease is epidemic, under-diagnosed 60% of the time, and drives everything from diabetes to schizophrenia. It is a major factor in the obesity epidemic in the U.S. It also has been implicated in diabetes and high cholesterol as well as ovarian, prostate, and breast cancer. Much of it is the result of iodine deficiency, which affects 72% of the world population. The rest is due to attacks on the thyroid gland from pollutants found in our food, eating disorders and/or lifestyle issues.

Many of the foods Americans eat on a daily basis contain sugars that are as addicting as heroin and cocaine. They are usually genetically engineered. Sugar has been implicated in most inflammatory diseases including Alzheimer’s.
That all sounds crazy, right? But I can back all of it up and then some. The polluting of the American food supply has resulted in a new condition that I am calling Food Pollution Disorder, and the impact that it is having on the quality of life and the aging process in the U.S. is catastrophic.
Many people today blame themselves for their poor health and/or weight problems with admonitions such as; “I eat too much.” “I don’t work out enough.” or “I just can’t seem to resist that breadbasket.” In addition, they accept all manner of physical or medical problems as a normal part of the aging process.
It is no wonder that people blame themselves for these problems. How many times has your doctor or someone you love told you that you need to eat less and exercise more…the implication being that your health problems, particularly your weight, are your fault?
But what if it’s not your fault? You see I don’t think it is. I believe that U.S. foods are so polluted that they are a real threat to our health and emotional well-being. In other words, the obesity epidemic in the U.S. is just one of the symptoms. I also believe that “clean food” can reverse most of the damage we are experiencing health-wise and heal us.
What I have discovered and written about in my new book Below the Radar: What They Are Not Telling You About Your Food is that Americans and their doctors are either not informed or are misinformed when it comes to good health and what is causing an epidemic of illnesses in the US. I am even more determined today than ever before to provide accurate information so that you can regain your health and reverse the aging process just as I have been able to do armed with this information.
If you are struggling with your weight, premature aging, or even an illness that is kicking your butt, reach out to me. I am the Mind Weight & Wellness Pro and I can help.
