Perfect Pie Dough In a Blender
If you want your pie dough to be perfect, follow this recipe and it will be amazing. I use Einkorn Flour and of course, all organic ingredients.
Ingredients:
- 2 1/2 cups of Einkorn Flour
- 1 teaspoon of Himalayan pink sea salt
- 2 teaspoons of coconut sugar
- 16 tablespoons of very cold cubed, grass-fed butter
Instructions:
- In a blender place:
- 2 1/2 cups of flour
- 1 teaspoon of Himalayan pink sea salt
- 2 teaspoons of coconut sugar
- 16 tablespoons of very cold cubed, grass-fed butter
- Pulse 10 times at one-second intervals.
- Add 1/2 cup + 2 tablespoons of ice water.
- Pulse 10 times at one-second intervals again until the mixture is crumbly, but holds together.
- Turn the dough out into two dish towels, and twist the dish towels so that the dough forms a round. Flatten out the dough a bit, like you would if you were rolling it out.
- Wrap the dough in parchment paper tightly until you are ready to use it or put it in a freezer-safe container. I use as little plastic as possible so I put it in a small glass baking dish with an airtight lid.
That’s it:) Freeze until you are ready to do your baking. When you are ready, use a good rolling pin and a floured pie dough sheet.
The fact that the dough has been handled very little makes it the perfect flakiest dough you have ever tasted. Bon appétit!
