For Hot Matcha Lattes:

  1. Heat the water to a simmer.

  2. Add matcha to mug. Add the hot water and use a bamboo matcha whisk or electric whisk to combine until the mixture is smooth and a little frothy.

  3. Heat the milk to a simmer then stir in sweetener. Froth. Pour into mug over matcha mixture.

  4. Stirring gently to combine, then serve.

For Iced Matcha Lattes:

  1. Add matcha and desired amount of sweetener to mug or cup. Add 1/4 cup warm water and use a bamboo matcha whisk or regular whisk to combine, making an up and down M motion, until the mixture is smooth and a little frothy.

  2. Fill a large glass with ice. Add milk, then pour the matcha mixture over top, stirring with a straw before serving.

NOTES

  • I prefer green leaf stevia or Manuka honey to sweeten my lattes. Honey can be difficult to incorporate into cold milk, so I usually mix it with warm water to make more of a syrup consultancy for iced lattes. If using honey, pour the milk into a jar, add honey, and shake very well to combine.
